Getting Used to This

Labor Day Weekend, the day when the laborers get a day off...or a good excuse to have a cookout and drink beer....

By the calendar the summer is not yet over, but by the season, it is. The Wheel turned from Summer to Autumn before Labor Day, though by the calendar Autumn doesn't arrive for a few more weeks.

My Uncle Pl died Monday. He was 88 and had lived a full life. I'll miss him, but he is no longer in pain or suffering in any way.

My friend J, is leaving at the end of the month for an exciting move to Ireland. Daddy and I went to Ireland for our honeymoon and we just loved it. When she first told me, I was SO EXCITED!!!! I still am, of course, and now that the word is out that she is leaving, many people are looking to me and asking "how are YOU holding up?". I don't want to answer. I don't want to think about it. J and her family are going to have a fabulous time and I'll do whatever grieving I need to do when they are safely on their way.
